Select your size.
The initial step in the process is to identify the right size according to how and where you plan to showcase the piece. Below, I’ve provided a list to help you assess whether your vision aligns with your budget.
Deposit.
After we finalize the creative direction, size, and pricing, a 50% deposit is necessary to reserve your place in my calendar. Please remember that creating a custom piece may take several months from the initial inquiry to its completion.
Medium and surface.
Paintings are crafted on cotton canvas stretched over wooden bars. I primarily use oil paint and occasionally integrate other media, like charcoal. These choices are made collaboratively.
Photo reference.
For pet portraits, please provide several high-quality images. The ideal photos feature the animal in natural light with strong shadows for added interest. If you're interested in a wildlife piece, reference photos of your vision are beneficial, or I can assist in finding the perfect reference images.
Copyright.
As an artist, I retain all copyright and reproduction rights of my works. This enables me to share images of the artwork across social media and on my website, as well as to offer prints of commissioned pieces for sale. For further details, please refer to my policies section.
Stages of the work.
I will provide regular updates during the entire process and share progress photos to ensure that I align with your vision and objectives. Your feedback will be invaluable in guiding the direction of the work.
When it’s finished.
I will send a final image to you for your approval, and once you have reviewed it and given your approval, I’ll proceed to accept the final payment. Your custom artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped to you unframed, allowing you the flexibility to choose the perfect frame or leave unframed.
